Nashville, TN – The competition to become Tennessee's new state song has been won by "Smoky Mountain Rain," made famous by country music star Ronnie Milsap who has had 40 #1 hits, "Smokey Mountain Rain" being one of them. Here are the first couple of lines from the resolution:
WHEREAS, made famous by country music legend Ronnie Milsap, "Smoky Mountain Rain" pays homage to the Great Smoky Mountains, which draw 2.2 million tourists annually to the State of Tennessee from around the world; and
WHEREAS, written by Nashville songwriters, Kye Fleming and Dennis Morgan, "Smoky Mountain Rain" tells the story of a special, enduring love of a Tennessee sweetheart and the storyteller's return to Tennessee and the Great Smoky Mountains in search of that which he holds most dear; and

| A Summer Dance Party Featuring The Black And White Years |
| The Sessions, the auspicious brainchild of Lauren Bucherie and CJ Vinson that provides a platform for the singer/songwriter genre to gain exposure in a crowded music scene, is pleased to announce A Summer Dance Party to be held on Saturday, July 10, at Austin’s One World Theatre. The Black and White Years, Austin Music Award’s Best New Band in 2009, will headline the event. A favorite party band on the local scene, L.A.X. performs as the opening act on the bill.
Tickets for A Summer Dance Party are $25 online at www.thesessions.com or $30 at the door. The party kicks off when the gallery doors open at 8 p.m. for a special pre-concert cocktail hour that will feature a showcase for local painters and artists and a performance by Cowboy and Indian. The main show gets underway in the theater, complete with a full-service bar, as L.A.X. takes the stage at 9 p.m.; The Black and White Years play at 10 p.m.
