| Lone Star Beer's "Win Texas Land" Returns For 2nd Year |
| Austin, TX -- If you have been listening, Texans, then you have heard the summer radio ads by Lone Star beer for its "Win Texas Land" giveaway and the grand prize of five scenic acres of land in the Texas Hill Country town of Llano. The ads feature Texas country singer Dale Watson extolling "true Texas spirit" and "the National Beer of Texas."
Consumers can enter online at www.LoneStarBeer.com. All entries must be received by Aug. 31, 2008. Three lucky finalists will then be selected to compete in a "Landowner's Challenge," a no-holds-barred test of knowledge and love of Texas, to be held during October in Austin.
Texas native and Lone Star enthusiast Gary Skrzycki was the "true Texan" who won last year's Lone Star giveaway of 4.1 acres in Llano County on which he hopes to build a place for his family.
"My wife, Julie, and I were thrilled when it was announced I won," said La Vernia, Texas, resident Skrzycki, supervisor for an electric contractor and active member of the community, including serving on the 2008 Livestock Board.
"We have never won a major prize like the land in Llano County," said Skrzycki. "You've got to play to win."
Serving Lone Star beer at Skrzycki family gatherings is a long-time tradition since the days his great-uncle was employed at the brewery in San Antonio. At the end of most work days, Skrzycki meets up with one or more of his four brothers at his father's farm and shares some cold ones with them.
The radio spots, recorded in May at Austin's Tequila Mockingbird Studio, feature the music from "Screw You, We're from Texas" by noted songwriter Ray Wylie Hubbard. The ads direct all "true Texans" to specially marked packages of Lone Star beer in stores and to www.LoneStarBeer.com to learn how to win the land. |

| Help Rockslide Fight Blood Cancer At Hot Mamas! |
| A Personal Invitation From John Grubbs At Rockslide Music:
So, here's the story. My wife's sister lost her fight against Leukemia when she was only eight years old. That was a long time ago, back in the seventies, and fortunately much has changed for the better when it comes to taking on the Big C.
Despite all the advances, it is still an up-hill battle, so Anne decided to do something about that this year. She is raising money through Team in Training. Besides committing to raise $4,000, she signed on to walk a marathon in San Francisco this fall. Neither hurdle is easy to leap over, but Anne is doing both in style.
Blood Feud is a party to help raise money and awareness for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. It is also a chance to celebrate overcoming BIG hurdles. We have already booked music from the Belleville Outfit and The Greyhounds, and you never know who else might sit in. A blood drive truck and bone marrow registry table will be on site. The Texas Rollergirls and T-Bird and the Breaks have agreed to be on hand to reward any blood donors with fantastic photo ops! Who knows what could happen? Sure to be a spectacle.
Come hang out at Hot Mamas with us. There will be plenty of food and beverage available; and, trust me, you won't want to miss this one.
