One thing is for sure after looking at the results of last month's voter's poll, the future of Country Music is in very capable hands. In one of the most hotly contested events we've had so far, this young lady brought in her large and very loyal following and completely dominated the poll for the entire month. And now for the big reveal, she's only 13 years old! With an unbelievable voice, excellent choice of material, and production from Jan Smith Studios, one of the finest studios in Atlanta, Moriah Martin is virtually unstoppable. Combined with an unbridled passion for the music and a quiet acceptance that what she has is a gift from God that is to be shared with the world, I would say you are looking at one of the future giants in the industry that come along every 25 to 30 years. It's been a full year of winning for Martin including nods from The Georgia Country And Gospel Music Association  where she won CD of the year, Holiday Song Of The Year, Vocalist Of The Year, and Entertainer Of The Year in New Country. Working in collaboration with songwriter Lenny Berger has proven to be a windfall for the young singer as well producing songs such as 'In Too Deep' which was the featured song on the poll and 'Mary's Baby Boy', the Holiday Song Of  The Year award winner.

Believe me, I put my very critical ear to everything Martin has recorded and I cannot find a flaw, not in the production of her sessions, not in the material she has chosen, and certainly not in her vocal ability which, even at this very early stage is impeccable. She sings with a big, powerful voice that lacks the shrillness and sugar syrup drone heard in many new female vocalists. She is honed in and extremely interpretive, a songwriter's dream. Then there is the 'Machine' that she has in her fanbase. Trust me, this would be the envy of any of the political pundents running for office right now with a far reaching, worldwide Myspace group with numbers in the thousands that back her with a fierce loyalty, something radio stations across the country have begun to notice. And now there is talk of a possible film role in a movie about a Country singer to be shot in Chattanooga Tennessee. It just keeps getting better.
